1. Under 18s

Children are not eligible to use our services and we ask that minors (under 18 years of age) do not submit any personal information to us.

2. Information We Collect.

Our primary goal in collecting personal information from you is to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and personalized experience while using our services. This allows us to provide services and features that most likely meet your needs, and to customize our service to make your experience easier and quicker.

Using the Site's web server log files, we use IP addresses to analyze trends, track users' movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information. This information may include the URL that you just came from (whether this URL is on our site or not), which URL you next go to (whether this URL is on our site or not), what browser and operating system you are using, your IP address etc.

In addition, we use cookies on certain pages of our site. We may also offer certain features that are only available through the use of a cookie. Cookies can also help us provide information which is targeted to your interests. Cookies are stored on your hard drive, not on our site.

Surveys & Contests. From time-to-time our site may request information from users via surveys, contests or for a particular service (e.g. newsletter). Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and the user therefore has a choice whether or not to disclose this information. Information requested will include contact information and supplementary information on your interests, opinions and preferences We will use the contact information to notify winners. We will not publish winners' details on the site though on request we will provide details of any winners' name and general locality.

Payment Processing. In order to process payments online we require the billing address for the credit card used. All payment details are collected on a secure server with secure socket layer encryption. We do not ever see your credit card details as these are processed by protx and HSBC bank.

3. Our Use of Your Information.

When you place orders or access your account information, we use a secure server. The secure server software encrypts all information you input before it is sent to us.

Will we share your information?

We do not share your data with anyone. We have to perform certain functions such as delivering orders, sending emails, analysing data, processing credit card payments via HSBC and providing customer services to process your order.

Any Plumbs employees who have access to your personal data are obliged to respect your confidentiality and take this responsibility very seriously.

4. Opt-Out of Email Communications

If at any stage you wish no longer to receive any e-mails that you receive from the site you can stop them coming by clicking the unsubscribe button or by sending a message to unsubscribe@plumbscurtainshop.co.uk

5. Our Disclosure of Your Information

As a general proposition, we do not sell or rent any personally identifiable information about you to any third party. We can (and you authorize us to) disclose any information about you to law enforcement or other government officials as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate, in connection with an investigation of fraud, intellectual property infringements, or other activity that is illegal or may expose us to legal liability.

6. "Tell a friend" services

Plumbs Curtain Shop offers a service whereby you can e-mail details of the site to a friend or colleague. This will involve entering the e-mail address of your friend. We do not use the e-mail addresses you enter for any purpose other than to send your e-mail. We do not store, rent or sell these e-mail addresses.

7. Reviewing and Changing Your Personally Identifiable Information

8. Security

In order to process and protect your credit card details, our payment page uses SSL (secure sockets layer) encryption. Payment processing is delivered by protx and HSBC bank and is fully compliant with the PCI directive. Plumbs staff do not see or have access to your credit card details, nor are these stored on our servers. Your details go directly to protx for authorisation. Protx has achieved the highest level of compliance under the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI). They adhere to the most stringent levels of fraud screening, ensuring that your details remain secure throughout the transaction process. 9. Changes to Privacy Policy

If we are going to use your personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time of collection we will notify you via email, prior to making such changes. You will have a choice as to whether or not we use your information in this different manner. In addition, if we make any material changes in our privacy practices that do not affect user information already stored in our database, we will post a prominent notice, before changes go into affect, on our web site notifying users of the change.
