Plumbs Curtains Consultancy

Use wooden or metal tape for accuracy.

CHECK: Is the rail even? To be sure, you can take a drop measurement in the middle of the rail, and then at each end. Please measure twice so we only need cut once.

It is important to decide where you want your curtains to finish - popular choices include just above or just below the window sill, above a radiator or full length just above the carpet.

Allow a 1 centimetre (1/2") clearance above a radiator or carpet. If your carpet has not been laid allow 2-3 centimetres (1" - 1-1/4") clearance to allow for the thickness of the carpet.

Wooden or Brass Pole

Measure from the bottom of the ring for pencil and pinch pleat headings. Measure from the top of the pole for eyelet heading.

Girder Rails

Measure from the ring under the runner down and add 2cms(3/4").

Clip on Runner
